Exploration, Excitement, Experiences!!! This is what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. We will also touch on dive planning and gas planning. We take a deeper look at equipment choices and configurations. Ultimately, the students will get into the pool for an Open Water review and then a challenging session to work on buoyancy, propulsion, trim, balance, and control. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you've learned and helps to create a foundation of skill and knowledge that results in safer, more skilled, confident, and independent divers.

What Will You Learn?

You’ll broaden your knowledge and hone your skills and complete five adventure dives that introduce you to:

  • Underwater Navigation 

  • Deeper water diving (typically anywhere from 18-30mt/ 60-100ft)

  • A sampler of three more Adventure Dives

Requirements:

The minimum standard requirements are completing Advanced Open Water Diver manually and 5 adventure dives. Optional: In this CSDA-led course, you will get an additional classroom session, a pool session to hone your skills, before your open water dives, and the CSDA final exam (optional).

Min Age: 15y/o (12 y/o for Junior AOW)

Prerequisites: Open Water Diver

Complete a Medical Questionnaire as a prerequisite to a recreational scuba diving

Learning Materials: PADI’s AOWD Book/Manual

Scuba Gear You'll Need: You use all the basic scuba gear including your underwater compass

INCLUDED IN THE COURSE

  • Pool training. session

  • 5 open water dives

  • AOW Book/Manual

  • Air for pool training

  • Air for open-water dives

  • One pool practice voucher (value $25)

NOT INCLUDED IN THE COURSE

  • Transportation to open water dive sites

  • Lodging at an open water dive site (unless on a cert. trip to abroad)

  • Entry and parking fees to open water dive sites (when applicable)

  • Meals

  • Equipment rental

  • Coldwater wetsuit ($45)
